This position is part of the SAP Basis group reporting into the Global ERP Applications technical support department. This position is responsible for supporting the SAP infrastructure (R/3, CRM, BW, EP, etc.), bolt ons, and integration points throughout the following environments; Production, Test, and Development.



Responsibilities include:
• Provide overall guidance and design of the evolving SAP landscape as the Company grows due to merger and acquisitions.
• Provide technical leadership in the areas of the SAP core R/3 system and associated applications for enhancements and projects.
• Produce strategic solutions in line with existing technical standards and industry best practices with an innovative approach.
• Work as part of an Architecture Team to assess the SAP landscape and determine the most optimal path for solution delivery from a technical support perspective.
• Provide technical support technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: ECC 5.0, BI 7.0, Enterprise Portals 7.0, NetWeaver Java.
• Provide leadership in the areas of physical and logical assessments.

Must have experience and understanding in the following areas:
o SAP Core Systems and related bolt-ons, integration points, and xApps.
o SAP Landscape Design
o Enterprise SOA from a technical landscape perspective
o Familiar with the Microsoft strategies in the technical areas of Microsoft SQL, Windows, .Net, Biztalk, SharePoint, Portals
o General knowledge of network technologies
o Working as part of a team in large Enterprise systems.
• Must demonstrate strong skills in the following areas:

o Detail and systematic thinking
o Written and oral communication
o Technical organization and troubleshooting
o Issue resolution and risk mitigation
o Commitment to follow standards
• The following skills and experience are a plus:
o CRM, EP, APO, XI, SCM, SRM, Adobe, Archiving, IXOS, BSI TaxFactory, Vertex, Solutions Manager, Learning Solution, GTS, and/or other SAP bolt-ons
o Support SAP on Microsoft SQL infrastructure
o Scripting and automation technology and processes
o Monitoring tools such as Microsoft MOM, Tidal Software, NetIQ Application Manager, Mercury
o Batch scheduling solutions such as Opcon or Redwood
o Experience working for a manufacturing company
