Description:
Requirements:
A minimum of three years experience as a Basis Administrator as well as five or more years overall IT experience is required. Fundamental knowledge of mySAP_ERP 2005 and higher is necessary. Preference will be given to individuals having productively implemented and upgraded SAP solutions such as mySAP_ERP 2005 (ECC6.0 and Netweaver 2004s), mySAP_ERP 2004 (ECC5.0 and Netweaver 2004), WAS 6.20/6.40, R/3 Enterprise, BW 3.5, Solution Manager 4.0, Enterprise Portals 6.0, XI 3.0 – SP17 and ITS 6.20 as well as the OpenText (formerly IXOS) archiving product suite. Experiences with Unicode conversions and heterogeneous migrations are a plus.

SAP installations and upgrades
System monitoring
Daily Basis Administrator checklist
System tuning recommendations
Call center ticket resolution
Ad-hoc management requests
Documentation of systems management and troubleshooting procedures


Environment:
The SAP Technologies team supports seven different business units in the Americas, three business units in Europe and three in the Far East. Five R/3 based landscapes and several other SAP systems including BW, Portals, XI and ITS are supported. HP-UX (version 11.23), Linux (SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 or 10), Windows Server 2003, Oracle version 9 or 10 and SQL Server 2005 are the standard operating platforms for the SAP systems. The group is growing in its responsibilities and is expected to add landscapes for BMW Group in the near term.

Availability:
Hours is (7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
Project work may require weekend and off-hours support.
This position will participate in an on-call rotation within the four person team.

Duration:
Depending on the candidate's performance, the position may become a long-term engagement.
