Position: Senior ETL/Informatica Developer
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: 14 months Contract

Engagement Description:
Informatica developer to develop strategies for ETL mechanism using Informatica Power Center and Power Exchange. Create technical specifications from business requirements. Create high level and detail design documents. Unit test case preparation and Unit testing. Design and implement application enhancements in collaboration with team. Design solutions to meet the needs of the business. Understand the data model and ETL process. Support the operations team when required. Work with Tech lead to manage technical implementation of the solution.
Resolve design/development issues and interact with administrators.

Top Three Skills/Experience:
·         Over 7 years of experience working as an ETL/Informatica developer using Power Center versions 9.x/8.x/7.x  and Power Exchange (Version 5.1 and above)
·         Over 5 years of work experience in oracle database
·         Ability to transform business requirements into technical specifications (Source to Target Mappings, Technical and detail Design Documents) -5 years

Required Skills/Experience:
·         7+ years of experience working as an ETL/Informatica Developer; Power Center versions 9.x/8.x/7.x
·         Design and develop complex transformations using Informatica power center
·         Excellent communication skills and team player
·         Strong experience with Power Exchange (5.1 and above)
·         Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Assists project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.
·         Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
·         Excellent Verbal & Written communication skills and ability to work independently with diverse group of users, managers and subject matter experts.
·         Ability to proactively communicate and collaborate with External/Internal customers to analyze functional and technical requirements.
·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills with thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate into Technical Specs
·         Ability to transform business requirements into technical specifications (Source to Target Mapping, Technical Design Documents)
·         Good understanding of ETL/Database best practices and industry standards
·         Communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, and clients
·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team
·         Knowledge of SQL and stored procedures
·         Strong experience in Oracle and UNIX
·         Good documentation practices
·         Ability to create and execute unit test cases
·         Mainframe experience is a plus
·         COGNOS experience is a plus

Preferred Skills/Experience:
·         Health Care Experience Preferred
·         There is a possibility of interacting with business users to gather functional requirements so some BA experience is a plus

Educational Requirements:
·         Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, systems analysis, or related field required.

·         7+ years experience with MS SQL Server 2000 to 2012
·         3-5 years experience with Financial Services clients
·         Works substantially with little supervision or oversight to deliver key milestones.
·         7+ years of SQL Performance & Optimization experience preferred.
