Position: Sr. SQL Server Consultant
Location: Dallas/Plano, TX
Duration: 6 months
Job Description:
Responsible for the fundamental organization of a system embodied in its components, their relationships to each other and to the environment, and the principles guiding its design and evolution.
Data Architect:
Includes functions to create the conceptual, high-level, and detailed design of the software solution. Usually possesses extensive experience with multiple technical disciplines, across multiple platforms.
Database Developer:
· Develops the logical data model (LDM) and assists the DBA in developing the physical data model (PDM). Monitoring the Databases and providing performance Metrics to Senior leadership. Identify slow running queries and make changes to optimize it. Work with the Developers to implement & monitor changes that go to Production. Includes use of data profiling tools and techniques, and development of review and QA data requirements. Need to be available 24x7 as to troubleshoot any issues that may arise in Production.
· 7+ years experience with MS SQL Server 2000 to 2012
· 3-5 years experience with Financial Services clients
· Works substantially with little supervision or oversight to deliver key milestones.
· 7+ years of SQL Performance & Optimization experience preferred.
· client experience Preferred but not required.
· Recommendation and modifying slow running queries to solve for multiple business solutions.
· Demonstrated experience with several platforms.
· Ability to deliver highly technical information to a broader audience beyond the team lead while influencing within the team.
· Exposure to working with third parties and suppliers.
