This is generic and our client would be looking for individuals who
specialize in specific areas. Besides the SAP technical knowledge,
our client is looking for individuals who understand business process
as well. In this case, the areas that they need the most help with
are: manufacturing including make to stock, make to order and engineer
to order in complex low volume, high mix areas; logistics,
specifically inventory management and warehousing (this would be for
the 9 month contract to hire position); and procurement although this
is probably not a heavy support area. If any of these individuals
also have knowledge of QM or Finance that would be a plus.

Provides consultative business process and system support to all areas
of the business. Uses background and experience to work with Super
Users to identify root causes of problems related to the Enterprise
Business System. Coaches the business in resolving issues. Works on
problems of a non-routine and complex nature where analysis of
situations requires evaluation. Exercises judgment within broadly
defined limits in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation
criteria for obtaining results. May report directly to Business
Process Enablement Lead or to sub team leader.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works across functional areas to insure that solutions support cross
functional business processes
Maintains system configuration and design. Does testing and system
validation where needed.
Helps to troubleshoot technical issues where knowledge of design and
technical structures are needed.
Applies problem analysis techniques and coaches the business to
identify the best solution within the system design
Act as a consultant to the business in addressing process and system
problems to insure that the business takes ownership of the solution
Provides assistance to the Super Users in ongoing training for
associates
May act as a project lead to provide guidance to other Enablement Team
or Business Team associates
Gets continuous training in technical and business applications such
as six sigma, project management, consultation, etc, as needed.
Promotes a safe work environment. May provide recommendations on
maintaining the safety of the work environment.. Notifies supervisor
of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.
Performs other related duties as required


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

A solid overall understanding of functional ERP environments.
Strong knowledge of system configuration, technical design and
associated tools.
A solid understanding of BW and applications to key functional area
Knowledge of problem solving skills and ability to apply them to
diverse situations
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to coach business owners
through problem identification and problem solving exercises.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Effective organizational and planning skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

2 to 3 years experience working in the functional development and
deployment of ERP environments
3 to 5 years experience in a business environment
BS or equivalent required
